Various training and coaching services are available to fulfill your needs and to help you reach your racing goals. Our training services include an introductory course to stock car racing, private coaching for more serious and experienced drivers, and custom coaching from a staff of professional NASCAR champions and instructors. In addition, Sutton Stock Car offers a course on race car chassis set up along with a wide variety of workshops & seminars. PRE-RACE CLASSROOM ONLY TRAINING COURSE This comprehensive 3-day classroom program will teach you the fundamentals and secrets of driving a race car prior to going on the track, or to improve your skill by having more knowledge and confidence. Course includes an in-depth study of what it takes for a driver to be a success in stock car racing including the study of safety, driving techniques, brake technology, shock technology, suspension, steering, using data acquisition to improve you skills quickly, and more. By attending this course, you will spend more time in the car when you get to the track, less time trying to figure out what hapened, and how to go faster. STOCK CAR 101 (RACING INTRODUCTORY COURSE) Offered since 1999, STOCK CAR 101 is an entry-level course offered by Sutton Stock Car for the driver to get seat time and discover the benefits on one-on-one coaching.. STOCK CAR 101 gives a thrilling experience behind the wheel to help see if racing is for you. This stock car racing class can also be beneficial by teaching you proper race car driving techniques and fundamentals. Prior to going out on the track, you will be required to attend the safety program at the beginning of the course. Driving uniforms & helmets are furnished. Meals are not included. STOCK CAR 102 is a private coaching or group course designed to give you personal attention to help you reach your goals in racing. In this course fundamental techniques are taught as well as physical and mental skills of driving a stock car. You will learn critical driving secrets, tips on driving the line, changing your line for a loose or pushing race car, using the apex, and be introduced to the physics involved in racing. You will be given the opportunity to use on-board data acquisition (computer system) to expedite your learning curve. $3,295.00 (group course) (100 laps) STOCK CAR 103 is a private coaching or group course designed to give you personal attention to help you reach your goals in racing. In this course you are taught the techniques, and physical and mental skills of driving a stock car. This is an intense, 3-day private coaching course which includes the use of data acquisition on the 3rd day for critiquing your driving techniques. You will learn driving secrets, and tips on driving the line, changing your line for a loose or pushing race car, using the apex, and gain fundamental knowledge about the physics involved in racing. You will be using on-board data acquisition (computer system) on the third day to expedite your learning curve. $4,295.00 (group course) (150 laps) Type of race car used for all group courses: Street Stock - Late Model After completing STOCK CAR 102, STOCK CAR 103, or being accepted by submitting your Driver Resume Form, one of our coaches is assigned to you for your specific needs. Our coaching staff is available to help you make your first race, or if you just need a coach at your ARCA or NASCAR Craftsman Truck/Busch series race.
