FAQsWHY USE SUTTON STOCK CAR RACING SCHOOL AS A PRIVATE COACH? Sutton Stock Car is the complete racing school that is capable of taking you from rookie status to the NASCAR touring series. At Sutton Stock Car Racing School, you can ask questions and spend the necessary time required to improve without being intimidated or taking up someone else's seat time. Sutton Stock Car does not offer fantasy programs or corporate events where you wait all day to get your set number of laps behind the wheel. Nor do we offer team building or sales motivational courses using stock cars. Sutton Stock Car does not use an outside independent sales agent that offers all types of racing programs (including airplanes, boats, motorcycles, etc) as a means to communicate with you and assess your needs. HOW MUCH ACTUAL SEAT TIME WILL I HAVE? Sutton Stock Car private coaching educational courses are not fantasy courses where you purchase a set number of laps. You are hiring an experienced, professional coach to work with you to reach your desired racing goals. We stay out on the track to improve your weak points and strengthen your good points. STOCK CAR 101 is our only group course offered whereby a determined number of laps is established. See STOCK CAR 101 in the Stock Car Training section of the web site to review information on laps available at a specific track. WHEN IS PRIVATE COACHING AVAILABLE? Private Coaching and Testing is available year round by appointment to accommodate your schedule. Call us at 888.843.8725 (toll-free) or email us. HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? For Private Coaching, STOCK CAR 101, or STOCK CAR 102, call us at 888-843-8725 to reserve your seat and receive your registration forms. When your completed registration forms and payment have been processed, you will receive a confirmation packet. You’ll be harnessed in your car and at the starting line before you know it! ARE GIFT CERTIFICATES AVAILABLE? Yes, gift certificates are available and are valid for one year from date of purchase. WHAT IF THE COURSE IS RAINED OUT? In the event of rain during Private Coaching, STOCK CAR 101, STOCK CAR 102, or STOCK CAR 103 courses, every effort will be made to get the course completed. If we are unable to complete the course, Sutton Stock Car will check for race track availability on the following day. If the race track is not immediately available, a future date (agreed to by both parties) can be reserved for private coaching. STOCK CAR 101 participants may attend a scheduled class within one year by reservations. Sorry, no refunds. WHAT TYPE OF TRANSMISSIONS ARE USED? STOCK CAR 101 & STOCK CAR 102: Manual Shift & Automatic PRIVATE COACHING: Manual shift only. Experience required. HOW FAST WILL I GO? STOCK CAR 101 is designed to teach you at the short track the key driving techniques to be both safe and competitive. Speed is not our objective during this introductory course. PRIVATE COACHING: Varies with skill level at both short track & speedways. WHAT TYPE OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS USED? Your safety is our number one goal.
