Having a successful racing career is expensive! There is a heavy cost to pay, literally, in terms of financial costs, time and commitment. But, if you want to succeed and have doors opened to NASCAR Cup Teams, then our team of winning coaches and NASCAR champions at Sutton Stock Car are for you. Here, we work with you to develop and become the complete package needed in today’s competitive racing world. We help save you time and money by learning and enhancing competitive driving skills as well as personal skills that NASCAR Cup teams desire. We are not a driver “factory” with a cookie-cutter mold. We look for and emphasize your uniqueness in the midst of delivering needed personal and professional skills need for Cup level competition. We conduct a comprehensive Driver Evaluation to see if you have what it takes to make it in the big leagues. Here is what to expect in our Driver Evaluation:

Six (6) hours and approximately 100 laps of on track assessment at the Hickory Motor Speedway, the birthplace of NASCAR.
Use of Data Acquisition to accurately assess your skills.
Written test of racing knowledge and aptitude.
Chassis set-up evaluation.
Honest, detailed, written report that highlights strengths and suggests improvements.

Our Driver Evaluation Program is VERY competitive and only a small number of applicants are accepted for evaluation. To be considered for a Driver Evaluation:

Complete the application and medical form and submit a current Driver Resume to Gary Sutton (gsutton@hughes.net). Due to the level of competition for the Driver Evaluation, only completed applications will be reviewed.
Once you submit your application, our team of NASCAR Champions and coaches will review your qualifications and contact you within 10 days.
Should you be accepted, you will be scheduled for an evaluation at the Hickory Motor Speedway.
Based on our pre-evaluation assessment of your racing skills, you will be assigned a car for your evaluation.

The cost for this comprehensive driver evaluation is $5,000. This includes track rental, ambulance, fuel, tires, and insurance. There are no hidden fees.
